What Type of Materials Are You Dealing With?

There are two basic materials, synthetic or natural. In some cases a combination of both will be found. If you are not sure or perhaps it is a combination of both follow the carpet stain removal for Natural materials. In some instances there are tags located under area rugs in their respective corners or on the seat bottom of a sofa. This may help you identify the fiber being used.

Always Pretest Material Being Cleaned.

Always pre-test the material to be spot cleaned to make sure it is colorfast. Dip a clean white towel in the cleaning solution being used and rub on material in an inconspicuous area. Examine the towel to make sure the color did not bleed into the towel. If the material bleeds professional carpet cleaning may be required.
